We have reached that time of year again when Michigan weather is unpredictable. Summer can extend until late September with high humidity or it can be as cool as Fall. One year, I attended a wedding in northern Michigan during late September. When I arrived I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. That same night, during the rehearsal dinner, we experienced a snow storm. Many guests were delayed on their drive in. Most of us pay a little more attention to our weather reports and thermometers because of temperature changes that happen very quickly. I don’t think many of us will complain about this summer though, it's been one of the nicest in my recent memory.
Fortunately, modern technology has made temperature and humidity monitoring easier within healthcare departments. Temperature and humidity data loggers are perfect for a department where temperature and/or humidity monitoring and documentation is crucial. These unique devices can gather over 250,000 readings and even include software to load on a PC for analysis and record keeping. Monitoring and recording this information in temperature sensitive areas can help determine any adjustments needed to stay at the optimal environmental conditions.
